Hi, sorry for the delay, lol. Thx for the comment! I have been studying Uechi Ryu, a very traditional form of Karate for about 13 years now. Do you study any of the arts yourself?

I believe all of the arts have trials that may be equal or close to equal in toughness. But if these styles were not hard, then there would be nothing to strive for. That is part of what makes it such an achievment.

And yes, I cant say where, but it sounds very familiar, can you tell me its origin?
